Drop-off boxes will be in the Main Street lobby. If you want to take advantage of the Virginia Sales Tax Holiday for your purchases, it is August 7-9, this year. Supplies are due early--August 13--so Sedgefield staff has plenty of time to organize and distribute them. THANK YOU! Needed items:

markers
headphones
Clorox wipes
tissues
hand sanitizer
gallon or quart-sized Ziploc bags
clear backpacks in Elementary size (roughly 17"x12"x6")

Fellowship and you
August 9, 11:45 AM
The people of St. Andrew’s enjoy each other’s company! After services, the Main Street lobby is filled with lively conversations and warm fellowship. People of all ages come to parish social events such as the Shrove Tuesday pancake supper, the Spirited Celebration on Pentecost Sunday, and the parish picnic. Spending time with each other, especially over a meal, is something we cherish. All those occasions—large or small—are made possible by parishioners who have stepped forward to lead and/or help with parish events. Their ministry has been and is a blessing to us all, and we are grateful. For that blessing to continue, we need more folks to step forward and offer their time and talent. We need dreamers and visionaries to come up with ideas; leaders and administrators to lay plans and follow through; worker bees to offer cheerful help before, during, and after events. It’s very likely that we need you. What events would you like to see happen? What events would you be willing to lead or help with? Vestry member Greg Edwards, our Parish Life liaison, is inviting all interested parishioners to join him, Helen Mitchell, and Anne on Sunday, August 9 following the 10:30 service, in the parish library to brainstorm upcoming fellowship opportunities. Please join us!

Embracing Educators
August 11, 1:00 PM
Calling all teachers and professors: current, former, and retired! Mark your calendars now for August 11, when we will gather for a time of fellowship, reflection, and encouragement. We’ll share stories from our teaching days; offer support to teachers and professors preparing for a new school year; and pray for all students and instructors. If you are a St. Andrew’s parishioner and have at any time been a teacher or professor, this gathering is for you. Come ready to share yummy snacks and warm fellowship; to receive blessings; and to be a blessing. Feel free to bring friends who teach or have taught. Please RSVP to the church office by August 1 so that we know how many people to expect. See you on August 11!
