From Darkness into Light: An Advent Service of Lessons and Carols
Sunday, November 30 at 7:00 PM
Please join us for a service of Advent Lessons & Carols: From Darkness into Light. This is a wonderful way to enter prayerfully and intentionally into the Advent season.
Advent Quiet Day Saturday, December 6
Saturday, December 6, 9 AM to 3 PM
Join us for a one-day Advent retreat called Advent waiting: from pragmatics to promise. We will explore practical ways to lessen the stress of the days leading up to Christmas, and we will also delve deeply into Scripture to see what we can learn there about waiting with patience, hope, and faith. The day will include prayer and reflection; silent time; opportunities for discussion and sharing, journaling and artwork; and Holy Eucharist. We will meet in the parish hall, with some sessions in the sanctuary. Participants should bring a bag lunch. Please RSVP by Dec 3 by signing up in the narthex or Main Street lobby or contacting the church office.
Especially for Families with Children
Christmas Children's Choir
The Christmas Children's Choir for ages 4 and up will rehearse on Sundays starting Nov 30 from 9:45 to 10:15 in the Village Room. Becky Fulcher will be leading this group. We will sing our song at the 3:00 PM Christmas Eve service.
Christmas Eve Pageant
As usual, we will have our no-fuss, no-rehearsal Christmas Pageant at the 3:00 PM Christmas Eve worship service. Costumes will be in the parish hall every Sunday of Advent for children ages 12 and under to peruse. When you pick a costume, please clearly label it with your child's name and hang it back on the rack. All children are welcome!
Cookies & Goodies!
On Christmas Eve, join us in the parish hall for Cookies 'n Goodies at 2:15 PM, prior to the service. If your child(ren) have not yet chosen a pageant costume, they can do so during cookie time, or at the door as you enter worship.
