There are numerous and varied opportunities for adults to engage in the life of our church. Everyone is invited and encouraged to participate.
Centering Prayer Based on the biblical admonition to “be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46), Centering Prayer helps us to quiet our minds so we can move toward recognizing the immediate presence of God. All are welcome every Thursday morning, 7:30 to 8 a.m., in the Parish Library. Weekly attendance is not required.
Thursday Morning Bible Study The Thursday Morning Bible Study meets from 10 to 11:15 a.m. every Thursday, September through May, in the Parish Library. Participants increase their knowledge of the bible through guided reading and discussion in a relaxed, supportive setting. There is no homework and weekly attendance is not required. All are welcome.
Thursday Night Bible Study Back by popular demand! The Thursday night Bible study will resume in the church library Sept. 4 through Oct. 30 at 7:00 pm with a study of the first eight chapters of the book of Acts. This study will give participants insights into the immediate post-Jesus foundations of the church and spread of the gospel, and provide a model for those who continue(d) to follow Jesus without his physical presence, something of an early church for a modern day perspective. Do come join us!
Senior Lounge Our St. Andrew’s seniors enjoy lots of fellowship and activity through our Senior Lounge. They have already enjoyed an ice cream social, hosted the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, played games, and enjoyed outings like a Pilots baseball game, and more!
