Music Feeds Us
On Wednesday, May 16 at 7:00 p.m. join us at St. Andrew's for a a concert to benefit the Foodbank of the Virginia Peninsula by a nonprofit musical organization called Music Feeds Us. A string quartet will present a classical program; all proceeds will go to the Foodbank.  A reception follows the program.

A Peaceful Place
A Peaceful Place is an end-of-life care and hospice program for those who can afford neither. It is a new initiative of LINK with anticipated opening in October of this year. Click here to learn more and to support this very important new ministry to our community.

"Each One Invite One" during April
The congregational development  team is excited to  challenge the entire St. Andrew’s congregation. During the month of April we will “each one invite one” when we ask each member to invite a friend or neighbor to come worship in our community of faith. Prayerfully consider who you will invite and ask him/her to visit. Better yet, offer to bring him or her with you for a service.

MayFest and Youth Sunday
May 6 is Youth Sunday and MayFest! Services will be at 8 and 10 a.m. The Episcopal Youth Community (EYC) will be leading the 10 a.m. Eucharist, serving as ushers and lectors, preaching, and leading the Prayers of the People, which they have written themselves. We are excited about our youth sharing their faith with the rest of the congregation through our primary worship service. After the service, plan to join us for our Spring Brunch. Volunteers are needed to help with the brunch. We need decorators, bakers, dishwashers, servers and folks to help with set-up on Saturday. Call Gloria Brooks (595-4067), Bert Kopp (596-7304) or Betsy Wolak (595-3261).

St. Paul’s Food Pantry
There have been some strange items in the baskets for the St. Paul’s Food Pantry!  These are items they cannot use.  The food items they need the most are: any kind of canned vegetables, fruits, soups, pastas, or meats; packaged meats and fish; and peanut butter and jelly. They can also use small bottle of dishwashing liquid and boxes of powdered laundry soap.

Skip Sherman Camp Chanco Scholarship
A scholarship for a St. Andrew’s child or youth each year at Camp Chanco was set up in memory of Skip Sherman by some of his friends to honor Skip’s love of the outdoors. The scholarship covers the full cost of the camping experience. The deadline to submit an application for the scholarship is May 1, 2018. Copies of the application are available in the church office.
