Continuing the Conversation -- Seeking the Spirit's Help: Gun Violence
The small group of St. Andrew’s folks who met on June 14 to talk and pray about gun violence agreed that we’d like to keep the conversation going. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, August 7 at 7 p.m. in the Parish Hall, where we will participate in a webinar entitled "Reclaiming the Gospel of Peace: Challenging the Epidemic of Gun Violence".  The hour long webinar will be followed by an opportunity for prayer and conversation. Ultimately, our goal is to help each person find a way to respond to gun violence, individually or as part of a group.  All are welcome to join us, including parishioners from other local churches. Go to www.bit.ly/gospelofpeace2018 for more information on the webinar or to register.

Cookies for Kairos
Cookies – lots and lots of them (200 dozen actually!) – that’s what we need for the next Kairos prison ministry weekend, June 21-24. Matt Deller and Joe DuRant from St. Andrew’s will be on the team. The cookies should have no sprinkles or nuts (recipes are here) and should be packaged, one dozen per bag, in clear plastic Ziplock bags and brought to the church by June 19.  Thank you!

Lay Eucharistic Ministers & Lectors Training
Please mark your calendars for 9:15 a.m. on Sunday, June 24 – there will be a training/refresher session in the Parish Hall for all new and continuing LEMs and lectors. If you would like to be considered as a Lay Eucharistic Minister (reading the lessons or prayers of the people and chalicing) or just as a lector (reading the lessons or prayers of the people), please contact Bill Wilds (saec.bill19@verizon.net or 595-0371).  This is normally a three-year commitment for confirmed members of the parish.

Crafts Tuesday during the Summer!
You are invited to bring your own crafts to work with on Tuesday afternoons from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. starting July 10.  We will be meeting in the Parish Hall.  If you would like to learn how to knit, please bring a pair of #7 or #8 knitting needles.  We can also talk about a needlepoint project.  All ages are welcome; however, adults must accompany children.  For more information, please contact the Rev. Lorna Williams or Bill Wilds at 595-0371.
