The History Team apologizes to any parishioner whose name was inadvertently left off any of the Honor Roll lists. We are a group of volunteers doing our best to produce a high-quality document to celebrate our church's history. It is never our intention to cause hurt. Please be aware that the Year 100 bulletins are extremely limited on printed space and that they are a work in progress. The final lists and longer articles will be included in the 100th History book. If you have worked with children or youth or know someone whose name does not appear on our list, please contact Melissa Sale. Also, please send in the lists of all women who have worked on committees, kitchen teams, Altar Guild, funeral and other receptions, ECW, Circles, etc. by June 16.

100th Anniversary Garden Party
May 19, 5 to 8 p.m.
A party... a garden party with fabulous food, music, and, of course, 100th anniversary cake. Turning 100 deserves a party, don't you think? The party will be hosted in the gardens of the Hunt and Prillaman homes on James River Drive. All parishioners of St. Andrew's high school age and up are invited. The event is free and sponsored by the Friends of St. Andrew's Garden Party.

Whitsunday Celebration
June 9, 11:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall
Join us on Sunday, June 9 for a festive cake and punch reception as we continue to celebrate our 100th anniversary! Our next centennial celebration will be a liturgical one: a Whitsunday service on June 9th. The day we now refer to as Pentecost was for many years called Whitsunday—a contracted version of the words “White Sunday.”  Pentecost/Whitsunday is one of the four days in the church calendar that are particularly appropriate for baptisms, and those being baptized typically wear white. At our 10:30 service on Whitsunday, we will have a baptism. At both services, we will also give thanks in our prayers for the clergy who have served St. Andrew’s over the past 100 years. Join the Parade! Please join the Whitsunday parade prior to the 10:30 service. We invite all children, their parents, and all parishioners who would like to participate to gather at 10:20 in front of the parish house doors on Main Street. We will process from that location, down the sidewalk and into the church.  In case of rain, the procession will go inside the parish hall and parade down the side aisle.

100th Anniversary Service
September 8, 10 a.m. behind Hilton Elementary School
All four churches of Historic Hilton Village will come together for one wonderful service on Sunday Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. A picnic lunch will follow the service. More info coming!

100th Anniversary All Saints Reception
November 3, 11:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall
When we "sing a song of the saints of God," we will be singing about the hundreds of St. Andrew's saints who have come before us and those who are still leading us... you know, the ones you meet every day, in the shops, at the park, at the Y, or the Food Lion... people just like us who made an extra effort to make St. Andrew's a welcoming community for 100 years. Join us for a special festive reception after the 10:30 a.m. service.
