Looking for a Youth Representative to the Vestry
Are you interested in serving your St. Andrews family? Are you looking for a new way to participate in the church? We are looking for a youth representative to serve on the St. Andrews vestry beginning in January 2020. This position is open to all youth in the church ages 16 and up. The representative would be required to attend vestry meetings (once a month) in their entirety. Youth vestry representatives should have a strong connection with the other youth at St. Andrews and overall parish life to collect opinions and voice them at vestry meetings. During these meetings, youth representatives will have voice, but not be able to vote on congregational decisions.  While the leaders of EYC, Nick Clark and Raven Cadena, are creating this representative position, the person(s) selected does not have to be a current member of EYC, although we always welcome all youth (6th-12th grade) to attend our EYC meetings and events. If you are interested, reach out to Nick Clark (540-840-3024; nicholas.clark.15@cnu.edu) or Raven Cadena (757-848-6459; raven.cadena@gmail.com) so we can learn more about you and answer any questions you may have.

What is EYC?

EYC is an energetic community for young people in grades 6 through 12 that gathers on Sunday evenings from September to May to worship, enjoy fellowship, have fun, and participate in Bible-based discussions on topics of everyday life, world issues, and their faith. They also discuss where God is stirring in everyday life, in social media, and the entertainment media. Each program offered nurtures our youth on their spiritual journeys. They also participate in weekend diocesan retreats in the fall and spring.
