EYC (Episcopal Youth Community)
EYC meets on Sunday evenings from 5 to 7 p.m., September through May and is an opportunity for 6th through 12th graders to have fun while expanding their faith and relationship with God. For more information or to get involved  call 595-0371 or saec0371@verizon.net.

Acolytes
Acolytes perform ceremonial duties during the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday morning and at special seasonal services. They carry crosses and torches, light candles, and assist the priests at the altar. St. Andrew’s is proud to have the youth of our parish participate in worship with such responsibilities. Training sessions are scheduled throughout the year as needed and on an individual basis. To learn more or to get involved, contact Tonia Graves, 369-5557 or toniagraves@cox.net.

Children’s Chapel
Children’s Chapel, for children age 3 through 5th grade, is offered during the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday. Following the Gospel reading, children leave for Chapel and return in time for Communion. Clergy or other leaders offer an age appropriate lesson based on the lectionary of the day and music is led by our Minister of Music Brad Norris.

Nursery
St. Andrew’s provides a nursery for infants through three year olds each Sunday morning from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and at other times as needed in the Children’s Center. Our nursery is staffed by nurturing, trained and loving adults and youth who watch over and guide the children while their parents/guardians enjoy worship and other church events. For more information or to get involved, contact the church office, 595-0371 or saec0371@verizon.net.

Vacation Bible School
Hilton Area Churches Vacation Bible School, usually held in early July each year, is an ecumenical program which includes five area churches. It began over 25 years ago and continues to be an important collaborative ministry each summer. Adult and youth volunteers begin preparing months in advance to ensure that the children attending benefit from an enriching Christian education experience. Our volunteers work alongside volunteers from other churches and together share in the mission to communicate God’s love to all. To learn more or get involved, contact the Parish Office, 595-0371 or saec0371@verizon.net.

Christian Formation offerings for youth (Grades 6-12)

EYC (Episcopal Youth Community)
Meets 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday evenings

This is an energetic community that gathers on Sunday evenings from September to May to worship, enjoy fellowship, have fun, and participate in Bible-based discussions on topics of everyday life, world issues, and their faith. We also discuss where God is stirring in everyday life, in social media, and the entertainment media. A meal or snack is included at each gathering. Each program offered nurtures our youth on their spiritual journeys. Friends and neighbors are welcome to join. We also participate in weekend diocesan retreats in the fall and spring.

Outreach for Youth
We support outreach programs throughout the year. These include the Souper Bowl Collection, a Lenten outreach project, the Pittsburgh Project, Hometown Mission Projects in the summer and fall, a Halloween project, the Wreath Project, and monthly youth group outreach hours, and more.

For more information about youth programs call 595-0371 or email saec0371@verizon.net.
