St. Andrew's Net

Every week in the fall through the spring St. Andrew's mails out a parish newsletter, The St. Andrew's Net. This newsletter advertises future events, offers spiritual insight, and informs people of the life of faith found at St. Andrew's. The deadline for articles is noon 10 days preceding the publication date. During July and August the newsletter is published each month. Click [Here] to view previous newsletters. Episcopal Schools Celebration Week

As new head of school at St. Andrew's Episcopal School, this has been a week that has allowed me to get to know more and more children at our school. I have spent time in classrooms and the hallways speaking with and listening to the children. The children are the reason our school began some 65 years ago and why it still exists today.

Last week in chapel we had very entertaining presentations by our room moms focusing on our Fall Fun Walk and Run. During chapel one of the room moms asked the children where did they think they were on the USA map in terms of the miles they had walked so far. One little Kindergartner answered, "The Kingdom of God!" How special that answer was! Here at St. Andrew's we have the smallest of our children being mindful that we are in God's world. Chapel is the start of everyday – this is what makes our school stand apart from any other.

As we celebrate Episcopal Schools Celebration Week, October 2-8, the theme we will focus on is "Let the whole world see and know." This is a challenge for all of us to be mindful of who we are and to share all that happens not only in school – but especially in chapel. I invite all of our parents and parishioners to stop in and hear the songs and see the faces of our children. It will lift your spirit and feed your soul. How fortunate I am to be part of this wonderful community!
