What is the Divine Dollars Program? The term "Divine Dollars" means "substitute money." When St. Andrew's members purchase Divine Dollars, they are purchasing negotiable gift cards/certificates that are used just like cash. Divine Dollars can be used to purchase food, clothing, gas, and other essentials at national and local retailers where you already shop. They can even be used at local restaurants for meals, The cost to the individual is dollar for dollar. When you purchase a $25 Divine Dollars card for use at Lowe's, then you can use it to get $25 worth of goods at Lowe's. If you spend less than $25, you will receive the difference in a revalued gift card, or in some cases cash.
How do Divine Dollars help St. Andrew's? We can help earn money for St. Andrew's when we make purchases we would make anyway - for necessities, gifts, even travel. When you purchase Divine Dollars, St. Andrew's then purchases the gift card/gift certificates through the Great Lakes Scrip Center at a discount. Discounts range from 2-25% with an average discount of 5%. This means that for every Divine Dollar we spend we are helping the church earn money, It;s a win-win for everyone. Who is the Great Lakes Scrip Center? The Great Lakes Scrip Center acts on behalf of churches, schools, and other non-profit organizations nationwide to purchase gift card/certificates from over 700 retailers. Which retailers participate in great Lakes Scrip Center? The 700 participating retailers include department and grocery stores, gas stations, and restaurants. Some examples and their discounts include: Starbucks(7%), Outback Steakhouse(4%), Hecht's/Macy's/Dillard's(9%), AMC Theaters(7%), and Barnes & Noble(9%). How can I purchase Divine Dollars? Simply fill out a Divine Dollars Order, made payable to "St. Andrew's Divine Dollars". Order forms are available from the church office or you may print the [attached]. Once you have completed the order form you can place it, along with your check, in the Divine Dollar folder in the church office or mail it to St. Andrew's, 45 Main Street, Newport News, VA 23601, ATTN: Divine Dollars. Orders will be processed each Monday and will be available for pickup the following Sunday. NEW Feature! The Great Lakes SCRIP Program (where we obtain our gift cards) has expanded their program to allow families to order online from home. Follow these easy instructions.

Note: You will still need to write a personal check and drop it off at the church before Monday a.m. 4. You must click on the I Agree button at the bottom of the page to move on to the next step. 5. Enter St. Andrew’s Enrollment Number 473LLDF612574 in the box and click on Join. 6. The next window will show that you are affiliated with St. Andrew’s Church and that Joan Verhoef is the coordinator. Click on Place Order and enjoy the ease of shopping from home. Once you have completed your order and you are ready to check out, click Submit Order and write a check to St. Andrew’s Divine Dollars for the amount due. Your check must be in the church by Monday a.m. for Joan to process your order.
