Dear members of the Board of Trustees,
As most of you are aware, while St. Andrew's was in the search process for a new Head of School this year, I have also been in the same process. Beginning last summer, I have entered into ten different searches that have given me the opportunity to see schools up and down the East Coast. I have had the good fortune to visit eight of the ten schools for interviews and was a finalist in five. Thank you for your patience during my required absences as I pursued these opportunities. I have accepted the position as Interim Head of School at St. Martin's-in-the Field Day School in Severna Park, Maryland. This is an Episcopal parish day school that includes a preschool through eighth grade program. It is just about the perfect situation for me for the coming year since Severna Park is only 30 minutes from Baltimore, putting us close to our two sons and allowing us to participate more fully in our older son's wedding that is planned for next fall.
As much as I will miss this school, my people, and this area, Bill and I are excited about what lies ahead. When we look back, there will be much to be celebrated and my hope is that all will benefit from the changes ahead. God is good and the good work that God has begun here will continue on to completion. For that, I am confident.
